ABSTRACT The author examines the characteristics of the advice in psychosomatic diseases of the colon and rectum, from many years of experience working with an ostomy Center. Among patients with non-neoplastic diseases, there was evidence of many people with anxiety levels on the borderline between neurosis and psychosis, borderline personality matching structures. The psychopathological encountered highlight the need for psychological interventions and support interdisciplinary liaison.
