SUMMARY

Patients with ulcerative colitis were more anxious than the control group, and also revealed the presence of profound deficiencies in the development of self-concept, linked to a serious disturbance of the concept and experiences of the body schema. An examination of personality structure revealed lack of inner resources and reduction in processing capacity of emotional stimuli, data correlated to the presence in these subjects, conflicts in the sphere of meaningful relationships, resulting in greater emotional reactivity to stress.

The presence of psychological pain in the anal has long been known: among the causes that are most frequently cited source of proctalgia are psychological changes with the presence of anxiety, depression and emotional disorders (1, 2, 3). On the other hand, the problem of idiopathic pain raises questions about the psychosomatic component independently of the location (4), the exploration of the psychological aspects involved in the pathology of anal pain arises then as a very useful tool in clinical practice, with important consequences both side diagnostic and therapeutic. The present work aims to study these aspects in a group of patients arrived to our observation.

ABSTRACT The author examines the characteristics of the advice in psychosomatic diseases of the colon and rectum, from many years of experience working with an ostomy Center. Is differentiated clinical work with patients with malignant disease than on other syndromes (RCU, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation) on the basis of the diagnosis of personality groups, which was done the research. Diagnostic tools have included projective tests of personality and character Questionnaire (IPAT Anxiety Scale). Observed in patients with cancer, anxiety, in relation to the underlying disease, appeared insensitive to rehabilitation techniques, but at significantly lower in those workers. Among patients with non-neoplastic diseases, there was evidence of many people with anxiety levels on the borderline between neurosis and psychosis, borderline personality matching structures. The psychopathological encountered highlight the need for psychological interventions and support interdisciplinary liaison.

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the stability of self-image and any alteration in the levels of awareness of the boundaries of her body, seen as key mediator between the self and the outside world. The analysis of the boundaries of the self was conducted on a sample of 16 women with primary infertility psychogenic, 20/40 years age-range, and 17 healthy subjects, female, same age. We analyzed the responses to the Rorschach test for highlighting content and penetration barrier, according to the method of Fisher and Cleveland, and such contents have been expanded further with the evaluation of Border size static / dynamic boundary Saracens and Ruggeri. Rorschach was then accompanied to the analysis of the representations provided to the reagent of human figure drawings, K. Machover. The psychological perception of the boundaries of your body is deficient in the sample of patients with infertility: the size of the static boundary is clearly inadequate, with a strong penalty against the contents of the Barrier. This does imply a lack of cohesion psychosomatic buoyancy in these subjects and a breakdown of the defensive functions act from your body. This finding is further supported by analysis of the drawings, which show the existence of a serious disturbance in the design of its body schema.

SUMMARY

E 'was considered a group of 20 women of age 'between 20 and 49 years, with Diagnosis of Infertility 'Primary sine causa, each of these subjects had had previous abortions (an average of 3 each). All these women have to test human figure drawings (DAP Test) K. Machover, the administering of the reactive 'was carried out individually, as follows': blank sheet of paper and pencil, avoidance of colors and erasers, delivery type: Drawings, please, someone. " When implementing the tests, none of the women was pregnant and at a mean distance of more than six months since the last pregnancy abortion. In this sample, and 'was then compared to a control group, consisting of 20 women, aged' between 20 and 45, who had never presented a similar illness. This group ran the same graph reactive, in the same mode '. The purpose of this study was the detection and assessment of the experience of body image in relation to himself and to the figures of the opposite sex, assuming that certain areas of conflict, relative to the perception and representation of the body schema, could more evident in this group, unlike others who do not have the same characteristics. The experience of body image, considered as a characteristic element in the personality profile, it is not much investigated in the specific field of infertility in primary sc, in contrast to the number of the studies, invece, in tal senso, sulle donne in gravidanza.

Sul piano più specificamente clinico, da anni l'ipnosi is used in the treatment of sleep disorders (insomnia), attention and control of pain (both acute and chronic), not to mention its use in a wide range of psychological disorders and psychopathology. Over the past twenty years research and observations on the physiological aspects of emotions have led to wider use of hypnosis in the field of gastrointestinal disorders, with particular reference to the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome that is now available in a diverse literature. b) Therapy hypnotic short times the resolution of the symptoms are particularly effective in the treatment of chronic idiopathic (eg. proctalgia) or in the treatment of symptoms resistant to medical and pharmacological therapies, both in the absence of indications for surgical treatment, both in the postoperative recurrence (eg. Many cases of constipation or fecal incontinence). The patients had a hypnotherapy short (from 1 month to 6 months)-type symptoms, which aims to control and containment of the pain by raising the threshold of perception, the techniques employed have been the development of mental images in a state of hypnosis Deep and teaching dell'autoipnosi. In the case of patients treated for constipation, was similarly applied a short hypnotic psychotherapy aimed mainly to the recognition and control of underlying anxiety by using relaxation techniques in semi-alert state of hypnosis and deep.

ABSTRACT

Suicide is one of those complex phenomena that can be addressed taking very different approaches, both theoretical and on that methodology.

SUMMARY

The Hypnotic Training (TI) is a constituent part and parcel of a mental training program designed to enhance sport performance by reducing anxiety , imaginative and ideational capacity building and acquisition of personal control over the difficulties caused by internal subjective states.

SUMMARY

Carmela is a young woman of 26 years, married for six years, with a child of three months , who lives in the province of Parma. For many years, suffering from a severe form of constipation, appeared for the first time at age 11. Therapy-based laxatives, lasted for five years, had compounded his trouble to the point as to leave no other way than surgery. Make your first posting to 17 years, but something is not working and, after a few months of operation, Carmela finds herself in the same conditions as before. Thus begins an "ordeal" that brings Carmela to undergo five surgeries, at a distance of approximately one year apart, in addition to not effectively solve the problem, the wear on the physical and psychological. The doubt on the possibility of an error in the initial diagnosis, pushes one of the physicians to direct Carmen in Rome, at a specialist field. The surgeon who asked for my intervention has already informed about the fact that hypnosis and practical, on this, Carmela is shown immediately interested and available. He spoke at length, addressing doubts and fears on the one hand, scaling hasty enthusiasm on the other. At the end of this first round of Carmela sessions will highlight the need for further reflection on its use hypnosis and other topics discussed. He decides to use the period of time that separates it from surgery, scheduled after two months, as a pause for reflection and processing of the treated material and agreed that the actual hypnotherapy to start after the making of ' surgery and its recovery period.

The joint decision was that doctors and family not to reveal to women the true extent of his illness, since she knew only that he underwent surgery for colorectal polyps. Hypnotic therapy, the patient had decided to continue to be a great subject, was speaking in two main directions: a more superficial level, we might say of conscious awareness, has worked on topics such as relaxation, reinforcement of 'I, the recovery of past experiences. At a deeper level, however, touching, in a metaphorical sense, issues such as fear of death, the relationship with the same and the ability to acquire greater confidence. On several occasions, including surrounding the surgery, the patient had been shown to have concerns and suspicions, but had simultaneously launched a number of signs that revealed his desire not to know. The hypnotic psychotherapy has proven, thus allowing highly useful, first, to conduct therapeutic work while respecting the will of the woman and, secondly, to prepare gradually, in accordance with its time and resources to take awareness of a painful reality. Currently, after a year of diagnosis, the patient is still doing well and lives a completely normal life. About two months ago he asked for and got to know the truth about his illness.

The different diagnostic groups observed sample consisted of 10 subjects with anorexia, 9 patients with anorexia / bulimia, 10 patients with amenorrhea, compared with a control group of 10 healthy subjects. The age range was included for all subjects, between 16 and 20 years. The comments focused on the results of the Rorschach test and the results of reactive Graphics: Drawing the Human Figure Drawing and the Family. Have been particularly studied the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the responses to Table III, IV, VII and IX of the Rorschach. Comparisons and differences between the groups were subjected to statistical verification: Analysis of variance of et in the case of quantitative variables Student; square in the case of variables qualitative.

Hypnosis and Symbolism

FORMS OF COMMUNICATION HYPNOTIC :
The symbolic efficacy of Claude Levi-Strauss

ABSTRACT

through dreams, imagination, metaphor us we open our sensory experience and we are being able to structure and experience a different world view. Every time this happens it becomes the predominant symbolic function and the learning process is entirely entrusted (Fonzi et al., 1975; Durand, 1987). In the particular case of hypnosis, moving the sensitive area from the outside favors to the highest degree the emergence of process symbolization. But, unlike the spontaneous productions (dreaming, artistic expression, etc. ..) in hypnotic situation consciously symbolic activity can be channeled and channeled towards the achievement of specific goals.
Never, perhaps, as in the case of the hypnotic situation, one can account for the high structuring power of language on human behavior (Watzlawick, 1974). word here, abdicating the role denotative, it brings back memories and create and resonance effects that derive psictìica cause significant changes in action and in the same behavior (Watzlawick, 1986). This is the domain of the symbolic function, human attribute peculiar and its related more important: the mind-body communication.
In this sense, and starting from this premise, the writer wants to bring to the attention a document, already of great importance in the field of anthropology, which she believes may be usefully compared to the study of hypnosis.
Document in question is from an article by Claude Levi-Strauss called "The symbolic efficacy", originally released in 1949 on magazine "Revue de l'Histoire des Religions" and then gathered with others in the volume : Structural Anthropology (Levi-Strauss, 1966). The discussion centered around what is defined as the first great text magical-religious cultures of South America.
who seems
writes that the cure shamanic anthropology considered of exceptional interest, it is much more usefully be put in relation with hypnosis than with psychoanalysis. And one must add, for the sake of accuracy, hypnosis and the practice as we know it today. Now that we are supported by an extensive clinical documentation and an equally extensive experimentation in the field of that phenomenon we call hypnosis, we can perhaps better appreciate the authenticity of this document, now considered historic, and the important contribution that can lead to discussion around content of the symbolisation process and the effectiveness of the techniques that use them. and between them, hypnosis is sovereign.

Summary

In the historical period from the seventeenth to the end of the nineteenth century in Europe, under the so-called "traditional" societies, the life of average woman was governed by alternating cycles almost exclusively related to the biological function of reproduction. The rules that governed the experience of pregnancy and childbirth first sanctioned the membership of this group of women to culture, within which were established roles and ways and means of those involved. It begins with the first stages of labor, which was "helped" with internal and external manipulation : one passed by the pressure with hands on their mother's womb, in order to increase the contractions, the dilatation of the vagina and cervix, again in order to hasten the descent of the fetus along the birth canal. The women began to address the quality of the experience of childbirth and gradually gained importance the need to draw attention to emotional aspects of birth that had been rejected and neglected in traditional society. When, in the second half of 1800, it came to consider the experience of birth in the delivery room as the projection of the emotional relationships within the broader family, they created a new emotional dimension, which allowed the roots after cessation of coldness and rigidity of the traditional rules. In other words, already in 1930 there were techniques to allow the pregnant woman greater personal control over every aspect of the process of childbirth. From the first half of the twentieth century onwards, thanks to rapid advances in medical science, the roots and the increasing spread of the psychological disciplines and numerous social changes, the women's experiences of pregnancy and childbirth have changed fundamentally. In the first half of the century, psychosomatic research, enriched by the contributions of medical research, but most of all formulations of psychoanalysis, gives rise to the concept of specificity is that multiple interpretations and meanings. In the field of psychosomatic of women today is expressed in particular a need for derivatives and related disorders on the integrative functions of the life cycle (puberty, adolescence, sexual function, reproductive function, menopause), probably for a number of reasons for and medical intervention, both to the request of the women themselves.
